There’s always a reason to gather by the river. Throughout the year, The White Hart hosts seasonal foodie events, changing menus and special occasions that make the most of our setting on the Thames. From Sunday lunches and winter rugby to Christmas celebrations and the iconic Boat Race, our calendar follows the seasons. Our kitchen-led events are always worth looking out for, so keep an eye on what’s coming up and join us for something a little special in Barnes.
A Sunday walk along the Thames deserves a proper ending. Settle in for beautifully cooked British meats, crisp roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables and rich gravy, alongside sharing roast specials made for the table.
Join us for the Autumn Nations and enjoy the rugby in a cosy pub setting, with excellent seasonal food, great pints and a good bottle of wine.
There are few better places to experience the Oxford–Cambridge Boat Race. We sit at the finish line, where the final moments unfold directly in front of the pub. Arrive early, find your place along the river and watch the atmosphere build as Barnes comes together for one of its biggest days of the year.
Winter evenings were made for gathering around the table. This Christmas, join us by the river for seasonal British feasts, carefully chosen wines and celebrations overlooking the Thames. From festive lunches with friends to work parties and family dinners, our private and semi-private spaces offer a beautiful setting for getting everyone together. Keep an eye on our events calendar too, there’ll be plenty of seasonal reasons to visit as Christmas approaches.
