Our menu follows the seasons, guided by the very best produce available throughout the year.

We work closely with trusted British suppliers and local butchers to ensure every dish reflects quality and provenance. Much of our meat is sourced from respected UK producers, including The Ginger Pig, known for exceptional British farming and butchery.

From fresh fish to carefully sourced meats and seasonal vegetables, our dishes are built around flavour and simplicity, allowing great ingredients to shine.

Summer Wines by the River

Our wine list comes into its own in the sunshine. Enjoy a chilled glass of Casa Canevel Prosecco Rosé, M de Minuty, Lady A Château La Coste, Ca’ di Mezzo Gavi or Brocard Chablis, all perfect for long afternoons overlooking the Thames.

Sunday Roasts With A View

Sundays at The White Hart are a tradition. Our classic British roasts are well known across Barnes and West London, bringing together beautifully cooked meats, crisp roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables and rich gravy, everything you’d expect from a proper Sunday lunch. Enjoy your roast inside the pub or out on the terrace overlooking the river after a walk along the Thames.

I booked for four of us to eat lunch at this lovely old pub on the river…. such a perfect setting. We arrived by train, at Barnes Bridge station, only a very short walk away. The pub is old and has lovely decor …. a great ambiance. The menu is good and the food was amazing. We all really enjoyed our starters and mains…. we didn’t order dessert as didn’t ’have any room left’ ? The service was great… very attentive and pleasant staff. We loved that a waiter we asked to take a photo of the four of us, suddenly took an impromptu selfie …a lovely guy. ?. We look forward to eating here again, especially in the hot weather, to sit out on their lovely verandas overlooking the Thames.

This is our local for years but a new team has taken over and really upped the quality of the experience. We were there tonight with friends and our new puppy. The pub was heaving but my glass never got empty before another was presented. The food is great…people friendly and staff amazing. If you are looking for a pub on the river and in the area…it is a must.

Such a wonderful place! We had a beautiful evening here this week, great food, very kind and attentive staff. As a bonus, you can rely on watching a magnificent sunset from your seat. We are local, so we are biased, but even if I won the lottery, I would want to bring my family here for the evening. Thank you!
